Abstract Submission Information

We welcome the submission of abstracts for presentation as posters or oral papers. Authors wishing to submit an abstract are requested to submit an abstract of a maximum 250 words. All abstracts must be submitted to the Conference Organisers, In Conference Ltd.

Abstracts are invited under the following themes:
• Prevention and Management of Travel Related Illness.
• Imported Illnesses.
• Migrant, Refugee and Asylum Seeker Issues.
• Establishing Good Standards of Travel Health Practice.
• Special Groups of Traveller.
• Expedition, Wilderness and Altitude Medicine.
• Other Subjects Related to the Conference Programme.

Without exception, late submissions will not be accepted after 15 February 2006. Authors will be advised of the Paper Selection Committee’s decision by 20 March 2006.

Please note, that all presenters (poster and oral) will be required to pay the full registration fee. Abstracts should be submitted in English only.

Computer Presentation Check In Presenters must check in their presentation at least four hours before they are due to speak. It will not be possible to check in presentations in the main lecture hall. Staff will be on-hand in the Speaker Support Centre to assist. Presenters do not need to bring a laptop as presentations will be loaded onto a main computer. It is recommended that presenters bring two disk copies of their presentations on CD (in PC or Mac) or USB sticks.

Poster Displays
An area for poster displays will be allocated in the Cromdale Hall, EICC. Poster boards are 1.00m wide x 2.00m long. It is recommended that displays do not exceed 1.5m in length. Posters can be put up from 09.00hrs on Thursday 8th June and should be removed by 12.00hrs on Saturday 10th June. The organisers cannot be held responsible for any posters left after this time.
