The Hanseatic city of Hamburg in Northern Germany is located within frequent direct flight connections from most European capitals and from many other locations worldwide. Hamburg Airport is only 10 kilometres away from the city centre. Hamburg represents perfectly the Hanseatic charm of Northern German cities, especially the harbour which is the second largest in Europe.

Culturally Hamburg has much to offer including several well-known musicals which dominate touristic life in the city. The city offers all necessary services for travellers and visitors within a compact area. Hotels recommended for this conference are within walking distance or only a short ride away by public transport from the conference centre.

The weather in May is typical for German spring. Rain showers may occur and the day temperature is usually 15-20 °C. The modern and centrally located Congress Center Hamburg (CCH) is surrounded by a beautiful landscaped park. The CCH is user-friendly and convenient for access to the main hot spots of Hamburg.
